In 2017, not much will change where e-cigs are concerned. As you start to explore the field, expect many of the same names to come up, as last year. One sad change is that NJOY has filed for bankruptcy which means that, unless another brand takes them over, NJOY will no longer be an option. Numerous brands have merely folded or compressed operations, but theirs has been the first big loss following a recent ruling by the FDA and associated costs of compliance and registration. Best Electronic Cigarette Brands - E Cig Review Guide For 2017 So where does that leave us? The top-ten list remains unaltered. Most experts and consumers would regard Vaporfi, Halo, and V2 as the best three brands with South Beach Smoke close behind, perhaps the JUUL by PAX Labs, Green Smoke, and maybe Mig Cig. Other lauded brands are Vapor4Life, White Cloud, and Apollo. Some might recommend 21st Century Smoke, Smoketip, or BluCig and Volcano is a contender if you aren't talking about mini cigs. Don't forget Chinese brands which provide beginner items such as cigarette-like mods and what they call "eGos"; slightly larger, more powerful devices. Volcano's Inferno is one such device, but this American model was inspired by the Joyetech eGo from China. Top Mini Cigs in 2017 The best brands of mini cig are produced by the top-ten brands I mentioned above. Among them, certain companies sell disposable devices, and others do not. Halo, Vaporfi, and Mig Cig sell only rechargeable kits. The same is true of PAX Labs and Green Smoke. Vapor4Life, South Beach Smoke, V2, Apollo, and White Cloud all carry disposable products. At Apollo, I get the feeling these are on the way out as I could only find a Watermelon version and the cost was $5.95, a clearance-type price tag. White Cloud's Fling was one of the best and cheapest at around the same price for every flavor on their list, but White Cloud made changes to their disposable line. Now you can buy the Fling Wide or Fling Mini Wide for $9.95 and up, with 0 to 5.4% nicotine, but every flavor is still on the menu, and there are discounts for volume purchases. Vapor4Life charges $7.99 unless you buy big bundles of disposables. These come in tobacco or menthol, which is typical of disposable e-cigs. V2 only carries these flavors as well and also provides a discount for volume purchases. Customers seeking rechargeable mini cig kits will find that they supply far better value. Also, there isn't the frustration of e-juice running out before the battery or the battery dying while the flavor is still strong. Furthermore, rechargeable systems produce far less waste. You can't avoid a little bit of garbage, but most parts are recyclable, including dead batteries. It takes about three months or more for a battery to die if it's recharged regularly. Green Smoke supplies three choices, all of them very affordable. South Beach Smoke provides a little bit more choice, also reasonably priced, but replacements are more expensive for the cartomizers and batteries. Consumers will find that White Cloud starter kits are confusing but attractive and their Squid charger enables one to recharge multiple batteries simultaneously. The JUUL is a gem among e cigs; strangely shaped like a thumb drive, but small and easy to use. Flavor and vapor are considered wonderful, and it recharges rapidly at a laptop port. The VERTX by V2 is also oddly shaped, but the more basic of two models is as simple as the JUUL and, again, angular in shape. A VERTX Plus enables one to change voltage with a swipe across the top to regulate it so that power and vapor production remain steady until recharging is necessary. Vapor4Life carries multiple mini cig kits of good quality. Vaporfi's single mini cig set can be accompanied by their excellent e-juice for optimum flavor. Halo makes one customizable, high-performance kit for beginners.
